KikuMark is a Japanese listening-practice app operated by Chenlu Zhu. This policy explains in English and Simplified Chinese what data KikuMark handles and why. Contact: support@kikumark.com
During a listening exercise, KikuMark records nearby audio with your device microphone and uploads it solely to generate a Japanese transcription. Audio is used for transcription and is not intended to be stored permanently by KikuMark; temporary audio files are deleted after processing.
The transcription is processed in memory during the same session to build study cards, difficulty analysis and comprehension quizzes. Full transcripts are not permanently stored in KikuMark's database.
For quality assurance and troubleshooting, KikuMark may temporarily retain AI-generated quiz questions, answer options, validation results, and short supporting evidence excerpts for up to 30 days. Full audio recordings and full transcripts are not retained as part of this QA/debug record.
KikuMark creates an anonymous account so you can start immediately — no signup required. You may optionally add an email to protect your records. Authentication is handled by Supabase; KikuMark never stores your password.
We store practice duration, plan type and remaining allowance to enforce free and paid limits.
To prevent free-quota abuse, KikuMark sends a random, app-scoped identifier stored on your device with transcription and test requests. It is not a device fingerprint, contains no personal data, and is used only to apply the lifetime free quota per device. Deleting your account does not reset this device-level free quota; reinstalling the app or clearing app data does.
Subscriptions are managed with RevenueCat and billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We process the purchased product, plan status and renewal events. KikuMark never sees your card number; payment is handled entirely by the store.
In the app: Account → Delete Account. Study records, vocabulary, progress, preferences and quota records linked to the account are then deleted or anonymized. You can also email support@kikumark.com with the subject "KikuMark Data Deletion Request". Uninstalling the app does not delete your account and does not cancel a subscription. Details: 支持与数据删除页面

听力练习时，KikuMark 会使用设备麦克风录制周围声音，并仅将该录音上传用于生成日语转写。录音仅用于转写，KikuMark 不打算永久保存录音；临时录音文件会在处理完成后删除。
转写文本只在当次练习期间于内存中处理，用于生成学习卡片、难度分析和课后理解题；完整转写不会永久保存到 KikuMark 数据库。
为质量保障和故障排查，KikuMark 可能临时保存 AI 生成的测验题目、选项、验证结果及与题目相关的短原文依据片段，最长保留 30 天。该 QA/debug 记录不会保存完整录音或完整转写。
KikuMark 会自动创建匿名账户，无需注册即可开始使用；您也可以选择绑定邮箱保护学习记录。身份验证由 Supabase 处理，KikuMark 不会保存您的密码。
我们保存练习时长、套餐类型和剩余额度，用于执行免费和付费额度限制。
为防止免费额度滥用，KikuMark 会在转写和测试请求中附带一个存储在设备上的随机应用内标识。它不是设备指纹，不包含任何个人数据，仅用于按设备执行终身免费额度。删除账户不会重置该设备级免费额度；重装应用或清除应用数据会重置。
订阅通过 RevenueCat 管理，由 Google Play 或 Apple App Store 扣款。我们处理购买的产品、套餐状态和续订事件；KikuMark 不会接触您的银行卡号码，付款完全由应用商店处理。
